DEPPS UNDERGROUND is an independent Australian dark psychological streetwear brand. We build clothing around pressure, damage, emotion, survival and the things people carry without always saying out loud.
Our visual language is built around damaged, stitched bears. They are not mascots and they are not designed to be cute. The bear is the damage made visible. Torn fabric, exposed stuffing, broken surfaces, restraints, mechanical details and scars are used to turn internal states into something physical and readable.
What is psychological streetwear?
For DEPPS UNDERGROUND, psychological streetwear is clothing where the concept begins with an emotional or mental state before it becomes an image or garment. The design is not added simply because it looks dark. The artwork is built to represent a specific pressure, reaction, memory or struggle.
That is what separates our approach from generic black clothing, horror graphics or gothic styling. Dark aesthetics are part of the visual language, but the starting point is psychological meaning.
The bear is the story
Each DEPPS UNDERGROUND bear represents a different state. The damage changes because the story changes. Some designs show pressure, some show powerlessness, some show anxiety, some show collapse and survival.
The repeated stitched-bear identity gives the brand a consistent visual system while allowing each design to carry a different emotional chapter. The bear can be torn, restrained, rebuilt, damaged or still moving, but it remains recognisably DEPPS UNDERGROUND.

Our first release establishes the core language of the brand through four designs:
- BROKEN — FALLING APART. STILL MOVING.
- ANXIETY — pressure, entrapment and the feeling that there is no safe way out.
- POWERLESS — the loss of control when your body, circumstances or environment dictate the outcome.
- PSYCHOPATH — emotional detachment expressed through the damaged-bear system.
Together, these designs define DEPPS UNDERGROUND as psychological streetwear first: the emotion builds the artwork, and the artwork becomes the garment.
Australian dark streetwear with a different starting point
DEPPS UNDERGROUND is Australian-owned and independent. We are building for people who connect with dark, alternative and underground streetwear but want the artwork to mean something beyond surface styling.
Our clothing is black-led, oversized and designed to carry large, highly detailed artwork. The physical product supports the concept rather than replacing it.
Why damaged bears?
A damaged bear creates an immediate contrast. It is familiar, but no longer safe or untouched. That contrast makes it useful for showing what pressure, time, trauma, anxiety and survival can do to something that once looked whole.
That is why the bear stays at the centre of DEPPS UNDERGROUND. It gives hidden damage a body.
What makes DEPPS UNDERGROUND different?
We do not build designs around trends first. The concept starts with a psychological state, then the bear, materials, typography and garment treatment are built around that meaning. The result is dark streetwear with a consistent identity and a clear emotional purpose.
